Is anything being built in the area between St. James and Midway Road?

Q. In the area between St. James and Midway Road, the land has been cleared for a number of years and now I’ve noticed that more land has been cleared. Is anything being planned for that area?

A new Novant Health medical campus is being constructed at Pine Forest Plantation off N.C. 211, approximately half a mile east of Midway Road. As far as other work in the area, Brunswick County Planner Kirstie Dixon said the N.C. Department of Transportation is working on road expansion in the area and has a lot of “right of way” in the area.

I may be wrong but i believe the person was referring to the cleared area further east on 211 towards Southport. There’s approx. a half mile or more road frontage of cleared open land that seems to have a retaining pond back behind a large mound of dirt with erosion netting around it
