Q. Who is on the Oak Island Planning Commission, which ones are in real estate in one form or another, and what percentage of that number do they make?

A. The Oak Island Planning Board has seven members, according to the town’s website.

According to Jake Vares, the town’s planning coordinator, they are Bob Germaine, who is retired; Helen Cashwell, who is retired but used to work in information technology; Bob Carpenter, who is retired but used to work in human resources; Ted Manos, a retired lawyer; Denise Pacula, a developer; Clay Jenkins, a forester; and Kathy Robinson, who is retired.
