What is the dividing line between Coastal Pender and Inland Pender in the weather forecasts?

Michael Caropolo, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Wilmington, said the dividing line is right along the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway.

The beaches, such as those at Surf City, would be considered Coastal Pender County, and the land areas west of the Intracoastal Waterway would be considered Inland Pender County.
