Do any local groups accept donations of golf clubs to help teach children golf?

A few local youth golf organizations will gladly accept used clubs.

The Wilmington Junior Golf Academy offers a number of free programs to children in and around New Hanover County. Executive director Jake Hunt said the best place to take used golf clubs is to the Wilmington Municipal Golf Course or Pro Golf of Wilmington. He visits both places every couple weeks. The First Tee of the Cape Fear Region also accepts used clubs. They prefer newer clubs that have graphite shafts. Anyone with used clubs can contact Executive Director Randy Hofer at (610) 888-0019.
