How long will the houses moved for the new Publix remain on the Covils’ property along Middle Sound Loop Road?

It’s unclear when they will be moved from their current location, but Richard Marks, president of TKF Housemovers, the Wilmington company working with Publix Super Markets on that aspect of the project, stressed the houses will be “gone soon.”

“We put them there temporarily to get them off the Publix property,” Marks said.

Publix at Pine Valley, a 45,000-square-foot grocery store, will open at South College Road and Bragg Drive in late 2016, according to a 2015 news release from Publix Super Markets.

Publix is also opening a store in Ogden, where the homes were. Construction is expected to wrap up in February 2017.

As for the relocated houses, “That’s just a temporary lot,” Marks said.

So many issues with this reporting. The houses were not moved for the Bragg Drive Publix, they were moved for the Middlesound Publix.

Actually this is about the Publix going in Ogden and houses stored on Middle Sound Loop Road.

You are absolutely right. The post has been updated. And when we get a more specific timeline about the houses’ move, we’ll add that, too.
