When will construction on the sidewalk/bike path by the Wrightsville Beach drawbridge be done?

Tim Buckland

It’s going to be soon, according to a Wilmington city official.

Construction began earlier this year on two projects, one is the path you’re asking about that’s part of the Cross-City Trail and a path under the Heide Trask bridge to make crossing Eastwood Road safer.

“The portion of the Cross-City Trail to the drawbridge is scheduled to be complete in June,” said Amy Beatty, the city’s superintendent of parks and recreation. “The walkway under the bridge … will be complete later this summer.”
