When is the next New Hanover County Schools redistricting?

Bill Hance, New Hanover County Schools assistant superintendent for planning and operations, said redistricting for the entire county will not occur until around 2020 when many of the bond projects are completed.

When Porters Neck Elementary initially opens, the students from Blair Elementary will attend for approximately three years while Blair is demolished and replaced with a prototype of Snipes Academy of Arts and Design.

He said the major countywide redistricting will coincide with the completion of the renovations and additions to Wrightsville Beach Elementary, the replacement school for College Park Elementary, the replacement school for Blair and the assignment of a new student body for Porters Neck Elementary.
