For what purpose is the land being cleared on Cheshire Road near the convenience center?

According to Pender County Director of Planning and Community Development Kyle Breuer, that land near the trash facility at Cheshire Road and N.C. 210 is being prepared for a cellphone tower, the construction of which has been approved by the county commissioners and permitted by his office.
