Why did the Carolina Girls’ sandwich shop on College Road close?

Carolina Girls’ Grillin’ Café briefly operated an outpost of its popular Castle Hayne Road restaurant at 1051 S. College Road.

Manager Evan Park said the decision to close the brand’s second location was largely based on slower than anticipated customer traffic and difficulty accessing the property’s parking lot.

The spot is currently home to Wilmington Taco Factory & American Grill.
