When will the Goodwill store off Military Cutoff Road open?

Si Cantwell

Goodwill Industries stores — there are more than 2,900 of them — provide good-quality used clothing at affordable prices. The nonprofit organization, which calls itself a company, also provides “employment and job training to veterans and people with disabilities and other challenges,” according to a reporter for Forbes, which recently named Goodwill 11th in its list of America’s Most Inspiring Companies.

The store at 1745 Sir Tyler Drive, across Military Cutoff Road from Mayfaire’s Main Street, will open at 10 a.m. Feb. 12, according to a spokeswoman in the company’s Durham office. She said it would be similar in size, operation and merchandise mix to the stores at 709 S. Kerr Ave. and 5662 Carolina Beach Road in Wilmington and at 2050 Olde Regent Way in Leland.

An employee at the Carolina Beach Road store who would not give her name said people can pick up applications at that store and drop off completed applications there.
