Q. My question is, will DOT be approving any type of sound barrier wall for the neighborhoods being impacted by the I-140 project? We live in Windsor Park where the road is literally behind our house and wanted to know what the process what to see if a sound wall could be approved.

A. A noise study is normally done during the planning stages of a project and during that time a wall is considered. The study found that no walls were needed and none have since been identified as needed.

Doesn’t seem quite right…Creekwood had a nice sound wall installed for a city road (King Parkway), and you’re telling me that a wall is not needed for Interstate I-140??? Which is literally feet from the property owners back yards??? And NO I don’t live in Windsor Park but have friends that do, and you better believe those idiots at NCDOT would hear from me!!!
