Q. When you are traveling south from the Isabel Holmes Bridge on U.S. 421 (battleship on the left) to use U.S. 17-74-76 to Southport and Shallotte, the single-lane merge ramp onto 17-74-76 in the afternoon rush hour is dangerous and intolerable. Will an extra entrance lane from U.S. 421 to U.S. 17-74-76 be added?

A. The single lane will remain, but the construction will add a third lane along U.S. 17-74-76, eliminating the need to merge onto the causeway from U.S. 421.
