What happened Brunswick Forest’s plans to build a beach club in Oak Island?

Jason Gonzales

Q. What happened to the once-promised beach club for Brunswick Forest that was to built in Oak Island?

A. In November 2012, the StarNews reported that Brunswick Forest had not completed the application process for a permit to build the club.

But Brunswick Forest’s Oak Island beach club isn’t entirely off the books just yet, according to Josh Crook, planning coordinator.

The developer expressed in 2013 an intent to move forward with some kind of development once the market improves, he said.
