Who is responsible for parking enforcement on Tiburon Drive?

Q. Who is responsible for parking enforcement on Tiburon Drive?  Everyday I see cars parked directly in front of fire hydrants, not to mention cars parked on the wrong side of the street (against the flow of traffic) and so far from the curb that it effectively becomes a one lane road.

A. Dylan Lee, spokesman with the city, said it is a private street and the city cannot enforce parking regulations there. However, the Wilmington Fire Department can fine someone if they are parked in front of a fire hydrant. To report that situation, call 910-341-7846.
