DOT was supposed to close Covil Farm Road on July 28. What happened?

StarNews

Q. The StarNews ran a release about N.C. DOT closing Covil Farm Road on July 28. That hasn’t happened and the DOT signs are now down. What’s the latest? Is the postponement due to the lack of funding from the federal highway trust fund?

A. The N.C. Department of Transportation later announced that the closure will take place at a later date. It did not announce the date and did not give a reason for the postponement of the work.
