The concrete median barriers were placed on U.S. 17-74-76 as the the roadway is being widened to three lanes in both directions between the U.S.-421 entrance ramp near the bridge to N.C. 133/Village Road, the first Leland exit if you’re coming across the causeway from the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, according to Wanda James of the N.C. Department of Transportation.

The median barriers are a temporary measure pending completion of the project, hopefully by Nov. 15, 2016.
