The N.C. Department of Transportation has a resurfacing contract that opened in March and should be completed by May 15, 2015.

S.R. 1371 (16th Street) from Grace Street (non-system) to U.S. 17 Business (Market Street).
S.R. 2816 (16th Street) from U.S. 17 Business (Market Street) to U.S. 76 WBL (Wooster Street).
S.R. 1301 (17th Street) from U.S. 17 Business (Market Street) to Grace Street (non-system).
S.R. 2817 (17th Street) from U.S. 76 EBL (Dawson Street) to U.S. 17 Business (Market Street).
S.R. 1411 (Wrightsville Ave.) from Dawson Street Extension (non-system) to Independence BoulevaRoad

Resurfacing of U.S. 421 (Carolina Beach Road) from beginning of curb and gutter in vicinity of Echo Farms to U.S. 76 (Wooster Street).
