Your chickens can’t come home to roost in Oak Island.

No livestock is permitted in the town.

The ordinance states, “No person shall keep or maintain any fowl, cow, horse, pony, mule, sheep, goat or other livestock on any lot or within any pen, stable or other enclosure or building within the corporate limits of the town.”

Are non-service animals such as dogs allowed in stores that sell food?

Are goats allowed in Wilmington or New Hanover County?
