Where is the Brunswick-New Hanover county line between Fort Fisher and Bald Head Island?

Jason Gonzales

Q. Where is the New Hanover-Brunswick County line between Fort Fisher and Bald Head Island, and is it marked with a sign somewhere on the barrier island strand?

A. Apparently there’s no sign, because Brunswick County and the Village of Bald Head Island officials are unsure of where the county lines end and begin along that barren stretch of coastline.

The line, however, is believed to be closer to the Fort Fisher area.
