Q. I heard a new TV station was coming to Ogden on channel 29 (WTMV). Who is building it and what networks do they plan to carry?
A. Beginning Jan. 2 of this year, Ogden’s channel 29, WTMV, has been occupied by Tuff TV, a station based out of Atlanta, Ga. with programming geared towards action and sporting enthusiasts.
Shows featured on the channel include “NCAA Division II Football,” “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” “TCW Wrestling,” “Auto Wars” and “Windy City Poker Championship.”
The channel is owned by Tutt Media Group, which also oversees other syndicated channels My Family TV and Heartland, which focuses on country music programming.

So, will this be on Cable as well?
We’re looking into that. I haven’t seen it in the HD tier of Time Warner Cable.
How strong is the station ? Is it strong enough for people in rocky point and burgaw to enjoy these new stations? And do you know what degrees the tower is so i can tune it in. thank you
Tutt Media which is based in Kinston is the owner of WTMV Channel 29 ODGEN. The tower is located at Porters Neck north of Wilmington. The station is a low power digital similar to WILM Channel 10 and therefore provides a signal on a smaller scale about 30 miles with an inside antenna. Full power stations offer a signal for about 60 miles. An outside antenna offers better reception and should pull in WTMV in New Hanover and Pender counties. This is one of three stations currently on the air by this company serving eastern NC. Viewers north of Topsail Beach can watch WTMQ Channel 41 out of Jacksonville and viewers around Burgaw and to the west may pull in WTMH Channel 21 out of Kinston which is the stronger station out of the three. The main channel (WTMV 29.1) offers the Heartland network (owned by the Nashville network) and offers country music programming. The second channel (29.2) has TUFF TV (sports and reality programs) and the third channel 29.3 has MyFamilyTV (family programming). The station is in startup and may adjust programming down the road as well as technical issues to improve reception. Right now they are not available on cable systems . The only way to watch is over the air. Hope this is the info you needed.
Thank you for that information!
