Why doesn’t Leland provide yard debris pickup?

Jason Gonzales

Q. Why doesn’t Leland provide yard debris pickup to its taxpaying residents like Wilmington? Most folks do not have a pickup or trailer to dispose of yard waste.

A.  There is a lack of demand for yard debris pickup, according to Leland Town Manager David Hollis.

The town, instead, provides a yard debris drop off site on Old Lanvale Road available for residents.
