Q. Who is responsible for cleaning up the piles of trash left behind when bridge work was done on N.C. 211 in Southport recently? Three waist-high piles of plastic and bags of trash were unbelievably left behind by the workers.
A. The materials were left behind by the contractors responsible for the bridge project along N.C. 211, according to Amanda Glynn, a bridge engineer. She said they haven’t finished working on the bridge, but they sent crews to straighten up the mess on Tuesday night.
