The Holiday Inn hotel building at 5032 Market St. has a history with several hotel chains.
It was originally built in 1987 as a Howard Johnson’s, with Rigby’s Restaurant on the premises. It must have been doing well because the Jan 6, 2000, Star News had several job ads for them in the classifieds.
It remained Howard Johnsons until 2001 when it became Sheraton Four Point Hotel. Rigby’s became Savoy Grille at Four Points.
By 2005 it had become Holiday Inn with Adam’s Holiday Inn Club.
