Q. Are there any plans on adding an exit/on-off ramp to I-140 at North College Road or Blue Clay Road? It is difficult for people living in this area to travel to Porters Neck.

A. The interchange at I-140/U.S. 17 and Blue Clay Road is included in the State Transportation Improvement Program, but according to Al Edgerton, Jr., a N.C. DOT project manager, right of way and construction costs are unfunded, and therefore the project will not begin moving forward until at least 2023.
