Q. Is there a community resource for HOAs and neighborhood associations in Wilmington or New Hanover County where the leaders can contact or consult each other on projects?
A. According to the president of the Alliance of Brunswick County Property Owners Associations, Bill Bittenbender, there is nothing similar in New Hanover County. Sara Stubbins, executive director of the N.C. chapter of Community Associations Institute, also said there was nothing to her knowledge similar to Brunswick County’s alliance in New Hanover County.
The closest resource for HOA or neighborhood associations would be the Community Associations Institute. It is a nationwide network that has a local chapter in North Carolina.
