Q. May 11 is National Train Day.  Will there be any National Train Day events in Wilmington, which prior to 1960 was the headquarters for the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad?

A. The Wilmington Railroad Museum, 505 Nutt St., will celebrate National Train Day from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 11. Visitors can check out the telegraph, maintenance speeder cars, locomotive tours and whistle demonstrations. Kids will get an opportunity to run the model train and collect free whistles and coloring books. Nancy Bolts, author of “Fast Trains,” will be on hand to sign copies of her book.
