Groundbreaking is scheduled for this month on the 112-unit apartment building going up at the corner of Third and Brunswick streets, near PPD’s headquarter and Cape Fear Community College.
The complex will have one- and two-bedroom units in four stories built above a 135-space parking deck.
Tom Davis, owner of City Block Apartments LLC, said when the project was announced early last year that one-bedroom, one-bath apartments would start at $925 a month and two-bedroom, two-bath units at $1,200.
Some will have river views.
