Why doesn’t Jones Fish Camp have to replace its long-time canvas wraparound lighted sign with a permanent one?

New Hanover County Planning Director Chris O’Keefe said there is no reason the Market Street restaurant would have to replace its current sign.

“Jones Fish Camp is in compliance according to current regulations for both zoning and building,” O’Keefe said.

UPDATE: Jones Fish Camp in Ogden has closed, as of May 18, 2014, but the location in Oak Island is still open. Read about it here.
