Q. Is it possible to pay less than $2 for a hour’s worth of parking at Wrightsville Beach if I’m only there to pick someone up, or take a short walk?

A. Between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. from March 1 to October 31, it costs $2 an hour to park at Wrightsville Beach. When using an automated pay station, there is a one-hour minimum. However, according to Town Manager Tim Owens, the metered spaces can cost just a nickel for 3 minutes of parking.

Why go to Wrightsville Beach. There are many other beaches in the area that cost less or have free parking. Remember the motto that hose of us that grew up here know. Wrightsville Beach says, “Give us your MONEY and go home”.
