Riptide Aquatic is not a part of a nearby mixed use development.
Plans call for a resort-style swim club and water park featuring a six lane Olympic competition swimming pool, a wading area, a swim up bar, two elevated water slides, a children’s pool aqua center, outdoor spa, children’s playground and more, according to the facility’s website.
The website does not list any specified opening date.
New Hanover County Planning Director Chris O’Keefe said all permits are still valid for the facility and business, but he did not know if any construction had begun.
Multiple emails to the address listed on the facility’s website asking for more information were left unanswered.

I put down an initial membership deposit for the Riptide center but apparently it is not going to be built. Do you know who I could contact about getting my money back?
