According to Director of Operations Gary Broughton, Wilmington International Airport flyers love the Big Apple.

With nearly 70,000 people per year taking advantage of the nonstop flights to Gotham, New York City is the solid leader among the top 10 destinations from ILM.

Orlando comes in second with 40,000 tickets sold per year. Meanwhile, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Chicago round out the top five favorite cities for Wilmington area flyers.

Destinations number six through ten are Washington, D.C., South Florida, Boston, Dallas/Fort Worth and Los Angeles.

Now that there two TSA lanes at the airport, will one be a Pre-Check lane for frequent travelers?

Why call it Wilmington International Airport if all commercial flights are domestic?
