Q. Who do I send a complaint to about the traffic light cameras? I just got two tickets for running a red light on Dawson when I know the light just turned yellow on the first and the second I was stopped at the white line.
A. If you receive a red light violation from the city of Wilmington in the mail, you can appeal it.
The city has an administrative process where an independent hearing officer considers the appeal. For instructions on how to file an appeal, look on the back of the citation you received in the mail.
For more information on the city’s SafeLight traffic camera program, call 343-4762.
