THE OLD ANSWER: MyReporter can’t definitively answer this question.
An employee of of the I Love NY Pizza eatery next door said The Eat Spot, a popular restaurant at 34 N. Front St., has closed its doors for good. But that I Love NY Pizza employee did not want their name used.
The Eat Spot opened in spring 2010. Owner-chef Jason Godwin could not be reached for comment. I Love NY Pizza operator Dino Psilos was also involved in the business venture.
The Eat Spot closed in late November, but a note posted on the door indicating Godwin was “taking a break” and would “be back soon” fanned the hopes of loyal customers.
Psilos could not be reached for comment.
Godwin, a chef with years of experience at other Wilmington restaurants, developed a dedicated following at The Eat Spot.
