Has an episode of Cops ever featured the New Hanover Sheriff’s Office or the Wilmington Police Department?

In an episode of the Fox TV show ‘Cops,’ Officer Collins with the Atlanta Police Department responds to a man-down call. The man was just intoxicated and taking a nap. Photo courtesy of www.cops.com.

Neither the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office nor the Wilmington Police Department has been featured on “Cops,” according to department officials.

How can I get the police to patrol my neighborhood more? I’m tired of cars speeding through it.

Are police, state troopers and sheriff’s deputies required to run the camera at all stops, or can they turn it off?
