Q. Why dosen’t Fox Wilmington change back to WSFX Fox 26 like it was in 2011? I like WSFX Fox 26 better then Fox Wilmington.
A. WSFX Fox 26 re-branded itself as Fox Wilmington in June 2011. The station remained under the same ownership and the branding did not affect the station’s content.
The change was made, said Fox Wilmington general manager Julie Tames, once viewers started moving to digital TV. Many configurations do not receive Fox Wilmington on Channel 26.
“The number became less relevant,” Tames said.
The station’s call letters are still WSFX.
