Q. With the proposed extension of Military Cutoff, how will that affect the Prospect Cemetery? Will it have to be moved?
A. Prospect Cemetery will not have to be moved, said Jay McInnis, a DOT engineer who works in the project development and environmental analysis unit in Raleigh.
“We do not anticipate affecting any graves in the cemetery,” McInnis said.
The two-way ramp for the proposed Market Street interchange will go around the cemetery, which will be accessed from Market Street.
