Q. I remember a TV news reporter/anchor back in the ’70s whose name was Patrice Vacarro. Is she still in the area or has she moved on to another news agency?
A. Patrice Vaccaro was a reporter/anchor on WECT-TV in the mid-to late 1970s.
Vaccaro was hired as a reporter in February 1979 at WWAY-TV, according to a StarNews file clip.
From there, the trail goes cold for a number of years. A woman named Patrice Vaccaro Watkins passed the N.C. Paralegal exam in 2010, according to several professional organizations.
Records show a Patrice Vaccaro Watkins lives in Fuquay-Varina, in Wake County. Attempts to contact her were not successful.
Patrice, are you out there? If so, let us know what you’re up to in the Comments section below.

That’s her. She moved to Raleigh and worked at WRAL for a little while. She married the former Sky5 pilot and left TV after that. She used to work for Northern Telecom and a couple of other similar places, don’t know much after that.
