Why don’t they plant any azaleas in Dram Tree Park?

Ken Little

Only a “limited budget” was available for the landscaping of Dram Tree Park, said Nina Johnston, city superintendent of parks and urban forestry.

“Irrigation was installed plus the minimum requirement of plants and trees for this project, but we spent a little more on the sod instead of seeding for a more finished look,” Johnston said. “We plan on going back in and adding some additional plants and shrubs.”

Azaleas will be included, Johnston said.
