Q. Why was Sebrell Avenue in Seagate repaved when the rest of the neighborhood roads are in such bad shape?
A. Richard King, Wilmington Public Services director, said the repaving of Sebrell Avenue had been a project on the books for several years, but it was delayed as the city had to redesign the road to make sure it drained properly and to put new stormwater infrastructure in the area.
He said the city has begun looking at other streets in that area for possible repaving – Bagley and Park avenues, to name two.
“We’re going to be doing some additional paving out in that area, with new money that was just approved by city council,” King said.
