Q. We always loved going to Boodles restaurant because you could go in the morning and get breakfast or a hamburger, or fish, anything on the menu. Is there any other place in Wilmington (besides Waffle House) that serves all the food, all the time?
A. There are a few places that serve breakfast all day, but not as many that serve ‘lunch and dinner’ during the morning hours. We still found a couple of restaurants you might want to check out.
College Diner, at 911 South College Road in Wilmington, offers a full menu of traditional breakfasts (from pancakes and French toast to biscuits and omelets), as well as a wide variety of lunch and dinner items. Look for Mediterranean favorites, comfort food, burgers, hot and cold sandwiches, seafood and ribs. They serve almost everything all day. There are just a couple of exceptions; you can’t get the Eggs Benedict or the biscuits and gravy after 2 p.m. Details: 793-0991.
The Dixie Grill (116 Market St.) has a menu with breakfast favorites, as well as burgers and sandwiches. They open at 8 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, they close at 2 p.m. Details: 762-7280.
Nick’s Diner at 127 N. Front St. offers a variety of breakfast dishes like ‘omelet flips,’ steak and eggs, flapjacks and skillets, as well as many burgers, salads and sandwiches. They serve most of the menu when they’re open, which is 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Thursday-Saturday. Details: 341-7655.
