The Wilmington Metropolitan Planning Organization, WMPO, has a Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, which advises the Transportation Advisory Committee on issues regarding bicycle and pedestrian programs, projects, policies and safety.
Residents wanting to find out where to ride their bicycles in the Wilmington area may want to start by visiting the WMPO’s Pedestrian Advisory Committee’s webpage.
The site contains a list of planned projects, as well as various bicycle/pedestrian maps such as a bicycle map for the area, the River to the Sea Bikeway and the Gary Shell Cross-City Trail among others.
