Q. What is the history of the school located at Constitution Boulevard and Nautilus Drive? It appears abandoned. When was it last used and why has it been abandoned?

A. The building used to house Roe Pre-K Center. But the school merged with Johnson Pre-K Center in the 2011-12 school year to save money.

The building was leased to Access Family Services. The organization runs a day treatment health care program there that’s licensed as a non-public school with the N.C. Division of Non-Public Education, according to the division’s website.
