Q. I have been searching for the lot number in Bellevue cemetery where my grandparents are buried. Can anyone tell me how to find this information?

The New Hanover County library keeps copies of the registers for the Bellevue Cemetery, said Joseph Sheppard, library associate in the Local History, Rare Books & Manuscripts section of New Hanover County Public Library.

Registers list the lots and plots of the cemetery, and anyone interested in seeing those can go to the library during business hours to read and make a copy of the registers, Sheppard said.

FindAGrave.com also includes Bellevue Cemetery in their searchable database. You can find it by clicking here.
