Why are there no speed signs posted on Racine Drive from Eastwood to UNCW?

Q: Why are there no speed signs posted on Racine Drive from Eastwood to UNCW’s entrance on Randall? Speed signs are posted going the opposite direction, toward Eastwood.

A. A recent photo from the city of Wilmington’s Sign Asset Inventory System does show a sign at the intersection, said Donald Bennett, city traffic engineer.

“It shows that at the time of the asset survey that there was a sign leaving Eastwood proceeding south on Racine. We have dispatched a sign crew to verify the presence of the sign,” Bennett said.
