A. Compass Pointe is a development off U.S. 74/76 in the Leland area. Click here for its website.
Construction began on a golf course there some years ago, but it hasn’t been completed.
The golf course is no longer listed as “under construction” or “projects in design” on architect Rick Robbins’ website.
Robbins is based in North Carolina, but spends most of his time in China, where he’s involved in multiple course design projects.
A representative from his office refused to disclose whether Robbins was still on the project and put MyReporter in touch with Compass Pointe developer Bert Exum. We called the number multiple times (there’s no voice mail option), and left voice mails on the number listed on the Compass Pointe website, but those calls weren’t returned.
We’ll update this answer if more information becomes available.
