Yes, the hourly opening schedule for pleasure craft is in place year-round, said Trevor Carroll, the N.C. Department of Transportation’s division bridge maintenance engineer.

The bridge opens on the hour from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for pleasure craft. The bridge opens on request for commercial vessels, Carroll said.
