The large plane was a Boeing 767 and it flew into Wilmington International Airport on Feb. 2, 2012, said airport director Jon Rosborough.
The jet, which was chartered from Atlas Air, brought more than 100 Dutch troops to North Carolina to train at Camp Lejeune, he said.
The troops arrived on Feb. 2 and are scheduled to depart on Feb. 17, 2012.

Does anyone know why recently for about two weeks there was a large very well lit “X” in the middle of the runway that can be seen from the MLK parkway?
It was related to runway work. More information can be found here: http://backseat.blogs.starnewsonline.com/10348/whats-with-the-large-xs-at-ilm/
