The Husk Seed Store and Bar, 33 S. Front St., Wilmington [Map this], took over the space of the former Roudabush Cafe in October 2011. Before that, the Roudabush building housed the Roudabush Seed and Feed Store.
“We named it the Husk Feed Store and Bar to keep with the history of the seed store,” said Jen Rayle, event coordinator for The Balcony on Dock Street, which makes the third floor of the historic building its home.
Yo Sake, a sushi/pan-Asian restaurant, is housed on the second.
According to the website for The Balcony: The Roudabush building’s first floor was always retail until the building, built in the 1840s, was renovated in 2006.
The Husk is owned by the same group of restaurateurs who own Mixto, Yo Sake and The Little Dipper.
