Changes to channel line-ups are publicized in the StarNews and online.

“Why did Time Warner switch the CW network to channel 20 and put the OWN network on channel 29, thus messing up series recordings people had scheduled for their DVRs?”

And the answer:

Andi Curtis, communications manager for Time Warner Cable in Wilmington, answered the question:

“We make channel line-up changes from time to time as we add new programming. And we know our customers like it when we add new channels! We always notify customers about channels changes/additions/moves via the StarNews as well as a 30-day notice on our website. Despite our best efforts, sometimes customers miss these notifications. Customers’ best resource for TWC news is our website www.timewarnercable.com. The channel line-ups and a host of other resources are there for our customers.”
