“Minor asphalt work and striping on the concrete median islands still need to be completed,” said N.C. Department of Transportation Resident Engineer Kerry Cross. Once the asphalt work is finished, the contractor will take down all stationary construction signs, Cross said.
Construction road signs are required by N.C. DOT to ensure safety to drivers and workers.
